June 2011 update: i have been using this same Opteka wrist grip for over three years. It's worked fantastically and is as sturdy and sensible trying nowadays because it was after I bought it. i'm fully delighted with it and don't have anything however raves for this product from Opteka. Please note that this product is intended for normal-sized digital and film cameras with interchangeable lenses and will work properly with most brands together with Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Sigma, etc. it's going to not work comfortably on a number of the a lot of compact or smaller cameras like Nikon's D40 unless you've got little hands. it is also not suggested for purpose and shoot cameras. Use the manufacturer's included wrist strap for these little cameras instead.
