358 of 361 people found this review helpful. Focusing in low light By Neil I use this external flash unit with my Canon Rebel XTi. The flash does a great job to calculate the amount of light needed to expose the photo release, making it extremely overexposed or underexposed photos a thing of the past. The ability to bounce the flash of average height white ceilings gives great photos that look for the point that they now prefer to use my flash instead of relying on high ISOs, fast lenses and low aperature number. Although flash photography is a difficult subject, the shooter may leave the occasional flash in auto mode and get beautifully exposed pictures. However, in my opinion, the best part of this external flash that allows you to focus much faster than the flash and this is reason enough to pick up the Speedlite 430EX II. Previously, when shooting in low light, the lens / have trouble concentrating and flash flashes are fired several test very annoying. The Speedlite does not have any problem finding and focusing on the subject in low lit rooms catering and dark, and does so without the annoying test flashes. A great product!
