Canon image processor is much better color balance and image capture the FZ35 general - the images are brighter and capture more details otherwise lost in shadow, or just a trend towards FZ35 has a grayscale processing to obtain the excellent sharpness of the FZ35 is known.
Having said that - I do not recommend using the automatic settings in the Canon. Your choice of the focal point of an image tends towards the creation of images in which the background is just as likely to be more in the approach to the subject. Normally, the camera attempts to focus around the edge of the object instead of the subject. Sometimes this can work to improve the clarity of the improved depth of focus a bit, sometimes it creates a picture in which nothing is in focus and sometimes the camera does not focus on "nervous" subjects actually are not at all - as a light pole in the trunks of the trees in the background, in the background, etc. In the playback mode, you can select a screen showing focus cameras - which can help explain why some of your images look that way they do in the car. At this point, the camera uses a single central focus frame (size and position of which can easily be adjusted manually to suit your theme if you wish) and start getting images as you expect. In addition, customization options such as Canon lens under coordination, color options, easy adjustment for almost any shooting function, along with the zoom range makes this superb still better camera in its class. My only complaint is that NCG I wish there was a "sun", but can be easily created in the color menu where you can choose to emphasize the Reds.
The fee normally produces very clear, however Canon in general, the processes to maintain the color balance in place of distinction edge at high ISO sensitivities so sometimes images get a little more diffuse than those of us using the can as the FZ35 - otherwise red stays red instead of going black. This camera, like all others in this class, the struggle with the bad lighting conditions due to its small sensor. The way I see it the cheaper option than a $ 1,000 - $ 3,000 DSLR that can go up to ISO 6,000 for low-light conditions.
Overall, the Canon is definitely a step ahead of anything else that was there - but it has its quirks we should know and avoid. The opportunity for creativity in a camera / lens is really incomparable to anything else out there. The ability to go from 1 cm macro 35x superzoom at the flip of a switch can not be found in any other camera in combination with the scene options, such as fisheye not normally found on other cameras as and a wide range of color options are also not in the Canon competitors in this class, has a great tool for creative photography.
